QCPD Cracks Down on Innovative Cake Delivery Ruse 1 Suspect Nabbed, 5 at
at Large

In today's digital age, technology has made our lives easier and more conve
convenient. However, scammers have also evolved their tactics to take advan
advantage of unsuspecting victims. One such modus operandi is the cake del
delivery ruse, where robbers pose as riders delivering a cake to gain entr
entry into a person's home. The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has succ
successfully caught one suspect while five others remain at large.

The Tactics

According to the QCPD, the suspects used this clever ruse to gain entry int
into a resident's home in Quezon City. The investigation revealed that one 
of the suspects, identified by the alias Regin, 37, posed as a rider deli
delivering a cake. He allegedly lured the victim into letting him enter the
the premises, which was then followed by a robbery.

The Arrest

Thanks to the use of global positioning system (GPS) tracking technology, t
the QCPD was able to track Regin's vehicle, a Toyota Vios, and locate it ne
near Litex along Commonwealth Avenue last Wednesday night. When Regin aligh
alighted from his vehicle, he was arrested on the spot.

The Ongoing Investigation

Regrettably, five other suspects are still at large and remain on the run. 
The QCPD is working tirelessly to apprehend these individuals and bring the
them to justice.
