In a remarkable display of grit and determination, Anisha Eunice Ichang C
Caluya overcame scorching conditions and stiff competition to secure a hard
hard-earned bronze medal in the Junior Elite Women Sprint division at the 2
2026 Subic Bay International Triathlon.

A Fearless Charge

Caluya's journey began long before she stepped onto the podium. Weeks of in
intense training paid off as she mastered both the course and the climate, 
developing the mental toughness needed to overcome fatigue and push through
through the final stretch.

I came into this just hoping for a top-five finish... knowing my competito
competitors were stronger and more experienced, Caluya said, her voice fil
filled with humility. But hope quickly turned into belief.

From Hope to Belief

As she powered through the 750-meter open-water swim, the punishing 20-kilo
20-kilometer bike ride, and the decisive 5-kilometer run under intense heat
heat, Caluya's determination never wavered. Her fearless charge carried her
her onto the podium, where she stood tall as the Philippines' lone medalist

This is a reminder that we're raising her to be determined and disciplined
disciplined, said Mae Caluya. Beyond the medal, it's the values that trul
truly matter.

The Road Ahead

With upcoming events like the National Aquathlon on Sunday at the Amoranto 
Sports Complex in Quezon City and the Asia Triathlon Junior Elite Cup in Ka
Kampar, Malaysia in June, Caluya has her sights set on further success. As 
she looks to the future, one thing is clear Ichang Caluya is a force to be
be reckoned with.
