with an available capacity of 15,799 megawatts (MW) against demand of 12,10

A Boost from Additional Supply

The NGCP attributed the improved power situation to the declaration of full
full capacity by several power plants, including Unit 1 of GNPower Dinginin
Dinginin Ltd. Co. (668 MW), Excellent Energy Resources, Inc. (EERI) Unit 2 
(422 MW), and EERI Unit 3 (420 MW). This additional supply, combined with t
typically lower weekend demand, created surplus capacity that enabled power
power exports from the Luzon grid to the Visayas grid.

The Department of Energy confirmed that both Luzon and Visayas grids were o
operating normally as of 1030 am Saturday. Red and yellow alerts in Luzon 
and Visayas grids were lifted late Friday night after reserves improved, in
indicating a stable power supply throughout the weekend.
