KYIV — Russian forces have chosen war over diplomacy, Ukrainian President V[1D[K
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Wednesday, rejecting efforts to halt fighting and [K
save lives by launching fresh attacks on Ukraine.

His comments raise the specter of retaliatory Ukrainian strikes during mass[4D[K
mass public events celebrating Victory Day in Russia on May 9 after the Kre[3D[K
Kremlin announced it would hold off attacks on Ukraine that day, hoping Kyi[3D[K
Kyiv would do the same.
