Weekend Brownouts Ahead Meralco Announces Power Interruptions in NCR, Rizal, Quezon, and Bulacan (UPDATE)

As we approach the weekend of February 8-9, 2025, residents in the National Capital Region (NCR), Rizal, Quezon, and Bulacan may experience power interruptions. The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has announced that scheduled maintenance works will cause brownouts in certain areas.

Metro Manila

On February 8, 2025, between 830 a.m. and 330 p.m., some areas in Tondo are expected to be affected by a power interruption. The specific areas include

A portion of Pag-Asa and Pag-Asa Ext. Sts. from near Juan Luna St. to Peralta St. in Gagalangin;
A portion of Danganan St. from Javier St. to and including Mendoza, Adriano, R. Cruz, Taladtad, Pascua, Frilles, C. Santos, J. Cunanan, Fronda, Javier, Ramirez, and Tan Sts. in Gagalangin;
A portion of Hermosa St. from J. Cunanan St. to Mendoza St. in Gagalangin;
A portion of Sunog Apog, Gen. Lukban, Victoria, and Clemente Sts. near Pag-Asa St. in Gagalangin;
A portion of Rosalina St. from Pag-Asa St. to Benita St. in Gagalangin; and
A portion of Juan Luna St. from near Benita St. to and including Banal St. in Manuguit and Gagalangin.

Other Regions

On February 9, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., some parts of Bulacan will experience a power interruption. The affected areas include

A portion of Ma. Lourdes Drive from Sitio Libis to and including Manila Memorial Park; and
Sta. Maria, Sta. Veronica, Sto. Rosario, Sta. Catalina, Sta. Isabel, Sta. Ignacia, and Sta. Ana Sts. in Ma. Lourdes Subd., Brgy. Tabang.

Sariaya, Quezon

In Sariaya, Quezon, some areas will experience a power outage on February 8, 2025 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. due to the installation of new electricity facilities.
