Master Paris workshop delivers ultra-realistic film prop babies

If you've ever seen a movie that takes place in Europe and noticed the babies all seem to have light skin tones and big blue eyes, there's a good reason for it. Most likely they were created by Paris-based Master Film Props.
As described on their website, Master Film Props is one of the only companies in the world who specializes in manufacturing ultra-realistic prop children and babies. They are so lifelike that people have been known to want to adopt them!
The workshop where these babies are made was started in 1974 by master prosthetic makeup artist Claude Monet (no relation to the painter). Since then, it has attracted some of the biggest names in cinema, including Tim Burton and Steven Spielberg.
Master Film Props specializes in both child and baby props. Their child props come in sizes ranging from preemie to 9 years old. They can also manufacture babies that range from newborn to crawling age.

The workshop uses a variety of materials to create their realistic babies, including silicone and polyurethane foam. Silicone is an elastic material commonly used in medicine as well as for special effects makeup. It was originally developed by NASA for space suits.
Polyurethane foam is a lightweight, resilient foam that can be easily carved or shaped. It's widely used for things like insulation and cushioning, but also makes the perfect skin for lifelike babies.
The baby prop makers at Master Film Props are known worldwide for their work in major motion pictures. Some examples include Steven Spielberg's War Horse and Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd.
Their most recent project was an order of 30 baby props for a feature film set to come out next year.
In the meantime, you can see some of their creations in the video below
