Peru police said they have rescued 123 women and girls who were being sexually exploited in Peru's southern jungle region of Ucayali.

The victims ranged in age from 4 to 56 years old. Police are seeking more than a dozen suspects involved in the alleged exploitation.

Peru's Public Ministry is investigating possible links between the recent trafficking cases and international crime organizations, although it has not released details about any such connections.

Many of those rescued were taken to shelters for children and women and will be provided with legal and psychological assistance. The victims' identities were not disclosed.

The National Police of Peru said it would continue its fight against human trafficking networks in the country.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
