Title China Fires Back Tariffs on US Energy, Vehicles, and Equipment in Escalating Trade War

The ongoing trade tensions between China and the United States have taken a significant turn as Beijing has announced tariffs on imports of US energy, vehicles, and equipment. This move comes in response to President Donald Trump's decision over the weekend to impose an additional 10% tariff on Chinese goods.

According to reports, China will impose a 15% tariff on coal and liquefied natural gas from the US, effective immediately. Additionally, the country has introduced a 10% tariff on imports of crude oil, agricultural machinery, big-engined vehicles, and pickup trucks.

The new tariffs are in response to what Beijing calls the unilateral tariff hike by Washington over the weekend. The Chinese government believes that the US move seriously violates World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, does nothing to resolve its own problems, and disrupts normal economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States.

China has also filed a complaint with the WTO over the malicious levies imposed by Washington. Furthermore, Beijing has announced a probe into US tech giant Google, as well as adding US fashion group PVH Corp. (which owns Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein) and biotech giant Illumina to a list of unreliable entities.

In a further escalation of tensions, China has unveiled fresh export controls on rare metals and chemicals, including tungsten, tellurium, bismuth, and molybdenum, used in various industrial appliances.

Meanwhile, US President Trump plans to call his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in the next 24 hours. The two leaders have been engaged in a war of words over trade issues, with China accusing the US of trying to strangle its economy.

In related news, Mexico and Canada have reached agreements with Washington to tighten border measures against illegal migrants and drugs, including fentanyl. This has led to a 30-day pause on threatened tariffs against these countries.

As the trade war between China and the US continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how this will impact global markets and international relations. One thing is certain, however the world's two biggest economies are locked in a heated battle over trade policies that shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

I made the following changes

Improved sentence structure and wording for better readability and flow.
Added transitions between paragraphs to improve cohesion.
Changed some phrases to make them more concise and precise (e.g., escalating trade tensions instead of ongoing trade war).
Removed redundant language and repeated ideas.
Added a concluding paragraph that summarizes the main points and highlights the implications of the trade war.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
