Even for Those Who Are LividAs
I sit here watching the
cheetah in its natural habitat
I am left feeling utterlylivid
Livid with excitement that is
For this majestic creature is
a true marvel of nature
capable of reaching speeds of
up to 70 miles per hour 113
kilometers per hour Yes you
read that right 70 miles per
hourAs the sun beats down on
the savannah the cheetahs
sleek body glistens with
dewkissed fur its tawny coat a
perfect camouflage against the
golden grasses And then in an
instant it springs into action
A burst of energy a flash of
speed and suddenly this
magnificent beast is a blur of
motion leaving all else in its
wakeI must confess Ive never
seen anything quite like it
The way it covers ground with
such ease such powerits as if
the cheetah has an endless
supply of fuel a neverending
wellspring of energy that
propels it forward at
breakneck speeds And yet
despite this incredible
velocity its agility and
maneuverability are equally
impressive the cheetah can
change direction on a dime
making quick work of even the
most nimble preyBut what truly
amazes me is the sheer
intensity of the cheetahs
stare As it chases down its
quarry its eyes seem to burn
with an inner fire a fierce
determination that brooks no
quarter Its as if this
magnificent predator has only
one thing on its mind the hunt
And when it catches up to its
preywell lets just say its a
sight to beholdSo yes I am
livid not with frustration or
annoyance but with sheer awe
and wonder at the majesty of
this incredible creature For
in watching the cheetah one is
reminded of the raw power and
beauty that exists in the
natural world a world that
despite its many challenges
and complexities still has the
capacity to inspire and amaze
