Taiwain Spotted
Taiwan has spotted an unusually large number of Chinese aircraft near the island as a Canadian warship passes through the Taiwan Strait. The Chinese government is currently attempting to annex Taiwan, despite numerous international protests.
The island detected at least 24 Chinese military aircraft and one surveillance drone near its airspace on Monday morning. The incident occurred while the Canadian frigate HMCS Regina was transiting the strait from south to north. The Royal Canadian Navy said that they were not aware of any issues with the transit at the time, but are monitoring the situation.
The United States has sent a delegation to Taiwan to show support for the island's independence. The US has also sold more than $100 million worth of tanks and weapons to Taiwan in recent weeks, which is seen as a significant increase from previous years. However, these actions still do not match China's military strength, so we must take further steps if we wish to protect Taiwan.
The international community has condemned China's attempts to annex Taiwan. The United States, Japan, Australia, India, and other nations have all called on China to halt their invasion of the island. However, the Chinese government continues with its expansionist policies despite these protests from abroad.
