Shalit Israelis are still hopeful that they will soon see Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped by Palestinian militants in June 2006, again. The hope stems from ongoing negotiations between the Palestinians and Hamas leaders to release him. As part of the exchange, over a thousand prisoners will be released by Israel in return for Shalit's freedom. The deal may be complete in the next few weeks?
