Putin, Trump discuss Iran, Ukraine in phone call — Kremlin

Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed issues related to Iran and Ukrai[5D[K
Ukraine during a phone conversation Friday, according to the Kremlin.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the two leaders had a good telephone [K
conversation, the AP reports. The Kremlin's readout of the call focused on[2D[K
on Trump and Putin discussing international affairs, including Syria and nu[2D[K
nuclear proliferation.
The White House has yet to comment on the status of the call or its details[7D[K
details.
Trump and Putin last spoke in March during an hour-long phone conversation [K
that was not announced by the White House until it was revealed by the Krem[4D[K
Kremlin. The two leaders met in person at a summit in Helsinki in July, whe[3D[K
where they discussed Ukraine, Iran, Syria, Venezuela and nuclear proliferat[10D[K
proliferation.
Peskov told reporters Friday that Trump had requested the latest call. The [K
spokesman said Putin had an extensive conversation with President Trump d[1D[K
during which he explained Russia's position on a range of issues including [K
Venezuela and Iran.
He added that Putin spoke about the threat posed by US military interventi[10D[K
intervention in Venezuela, the Guardian reports. He also said Putin discus[6D[K
discussed possible mechanisms for reviving talks between the Ukrainian and [K
Russian governments over the conflict in eastern Ukraine, according to Reut[4D[K

The White House has yet to comment on the call or its details.
