Myanmar leader orders Suu Kyi’s move to house arrest

Myanmar's leader has ordered Aung San Suu Kyi to house arrest five years a[1D[K
after she was swept into detention in a February 2021 coup.
A statement from President Min Aung Hlaing said he had commuted the remain[6D[K
remaining sentence of Suu Kyi and shared a photograph that appeared to sho[3D[K
show her sitting and flanked by two men.
It is unclear where she will be moved, but a senior source told her dissolv[7D[K
dissolved National League for Democracy (NLD) party that she was likely to [K
remain sequestered at an address in the capital Naypyitaw.
The official statement did not make clear how many years remained in Suu Ky[2D[K
Kyi's sentence.
