Malabon Celebrates 25th Cityhood Anniversary Bayanihan Spirit Unites Res
Residents Amidst Challenges

As Malabon City marks its 25th anniversary as a city, Mayor Jeannie Sandova
Sandoval calls on residents to embody the spirit of bayanihan, or communa
communal unity. This call comes amidst energy challenges resulting from the
the war in the Middle East.

Bayanihan is not just about helping others; it's also about helping oursel
ourselves by working together and volunteering our time and resources, sai
said Mayor Sandoval. As we mark this milestone, let us redouble our effort
efforts to support one another and overcome any obstacles that come our way
way.

In light of the economic challenges facing many residents, Mayor Sandoval e
emphasized the importance of cooperation and volunteerism in ensuring the c
continued delivery of basic services. She also highlighted the city's proac
proactive approach to addressing these issues through various programs.

One such program is the Walang Tulugan Serbisyo caravan, which offers a r
range of services including financial assistance, job fairs, and trade prom
promotions for local micro, small, and medium enterprises. The city has als
also rolled out mobile shower, laundry, water, and charging stations to sup
support residents in need.

Other initiatives include first aid and safety training, distribution of fi
financial assistance and pensions to senior citizens and persons with disab
disabilities, and a month-long Malabon Pasalubong Trade Fair to promote loc
local products.

The city's journey to becoming the 103rd city in the Philippines began when
when former Representative Ricky Sandoval authored Republic Act 9019. The l
law effectively granted Malabon cityhood on June 17, 1995.

As we look ahead to the future, it is heartening to see that the spirit of
bayanihan continues to guide the people of Malabon in times of need. By wor
working together and supporting one another, we can overcome even the most
daunting challenges and build a brighter future for our city.

I hope this meets your requirements!

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
