Macron decries blocking Strait of Hormuz as 'mistake on both sides'

French President Emmanuel Macron denounced what he called a mistake on bo[2D[K
both sides in blocking the Strait of Hormuz. He spoke to journalists in Gd[2D[K
Gdansk, Poland. Tensions between Iran and the United States have been risin[5D[K
rising after America's sanctions on Tehran.

Macron said, It is likely that, following the American decision to maintai[7D[K
maintain a targeted blockade on Hormuz... the Iranian authorities changed t[1D[K
their initial position... this is a mistake on both sides. The comments co[2D[K
come at a time when tensions are rising between Iran and the United States.
