The event saw key representatives from both organizations, including Princess Galura, president and general manager of Sunrise Events Inc., Rhayan Cruz, executive vice president and CEO of LGR, triathlete Mervin Santiago, and Eunice Cruz, CEO of LGR.

This strategic collaboration comes at a perfect time as event organizers are introducing an unprecedented innovation customized finisher's shirts for all race categories in partnership with their new apparel sponsor. This unique touch is a testament to LGR Athletes Wear Inc.'s commitment to excellence and its passion for supporting Filipino athletes.

The partnership between IRONMAN Philippines and LGR Athletes Wear Inc. goes beyond just creating customized finisher's shirts; it also marks a significant expansion into new sports ventures. LGR has been known for outfitting top basketball, football, and volleyball teams since its founding in 1988 by Sonia Cruz. This milestone marks a defining moment for the brand as it ventures into triathlon and multi-sports events.

The IRONMAN Philippines event is set to take place on March 2, featuring a grueling endurance race comprising a 1.9 km open-water swim in Puerto Princesa's pristine waters, a 90 km bike ride through scenic coastal roads and city landscapes, and a 21 km run leading athletes through the heart of the city and back towards the finish line.

The event will also serve as a qualifying race for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, with 45 slots available for the prestigious event taking place on November 8-9 in Marbella, Spain. So far, organizers report that 60 percent of the competitors are international athletes representing 64 countries, reinforcing the event's global appeal.

In addition to the main IRONMAN event, other key events include the Princesa Run on February 28, the IronKids Swim-Run and Kids Run on March 1, and the Sunrise Sprint on March 2, a short distance triathlon event ideal for beginners and experienced racers alike.
