Title Lago Seeks Sweep in JPGT Del Monte Tilt

The ICTSI Junior Philippine Golf Tour (JPGT) returns to action at the Del M
Monte Golf Club from April 29 to May 1, with rising star Ethan Lago aiming
to complete a dominant opening stretch in the boys' 7-10 category. Having w
won the first two legs of the series, Lago faces a determined field that in
includes Cebu's Anthony Avila, Cagayan de Oro's Thiago Sajulga, and Bukidno
Bukidnon's Lenard Sale.

However, what makes this leg particularly compelling is the return of Bukid
Bukidnon's junior standout Alexis Nailga, who skipped a previous leg due to
to prior commitments. Now back in action, Nailga is looking to resume his w
winning ways and strengthen his push for a coveted spot in the Elite Junior
Junior Finals representing the Vis-Min squad.

The Del Monte stop marks the third leg of the six-stage Visayas-Mindanao se
series organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments Inc., following Mactan and A
Alta Vista, with upcoming tournaments set at Pueblo de Oro, Bacolod, and Ne
Negros Occidental. This series provides a structured and highly competitive
competitive platform for young athletes (aged 7-18), enabling them to sharp
sharpen their skills, develop mental resilience, and prepare for higher lev
levels of competition.

In the girls' 7-10 category, local bets Faith Frayco and Maxine Cabang take
take on Soleil Molde of Davao and Cebu's Millah Avila. Meanwhile, Bukidnon'
Bukidnon's Claren Quino leads the girls' 11-14 division. The boys' 11-14 si
side is also shaping up to be a highlight, with former 7-10 standouts Shaqe
Shaqeeq Tanog and James Rolida joined by Mico Woo, Rafael Yap, Luke Habagat
Habagat, and Almario Sia.

The girls' 15-18 division is another area of interest, with local ace Zero
Plete facing off against Davao's Precious Zaragosa and Cagayan de Oro's Mau
Maureen Sia. Notably absent are Visayas swing standouts Tashanah Balangauan
Balangauan and Dominique Gotiong, who are skipping the Mindanao legs.

The JPGT provides a platform for young athletes to develop their skills and
and prepare for higher levels of competition. With its nationwide reach and
and growing depth, it's no wonder that this tour is critical for the succes
success of Filipino golfers in 2026.

As we look ahead to the Del Monte leg, one thing is clear the competition
will be fierce, with each player vying for a spot at the top. Will Lago com
complete his sweep, or will Nailga resume his winning ways? Only time will
tell.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
