5 Tools Every Spiritual Guide Should Master
I was recently asked to speak on a panel with three other female leaders in[2D[K
in our field, all of whom have been working professionally for far longer t[1D[K
than I have, about how we got into this work and what tools we've found ind[3D[K
indispensable.
As we were discussing our answers, it occurred to me that I had stumbled up[2D[K
upon a few key things very quickly that helped me grow my business in an or[2D[K
organic way, so I wanted to share them here with you.
1. Know your why.
Why are you doing this work? This is such an essential question because wit[3D[K
without a clear answer, you will likely fall prey to the comparison trap an[2D[K
and be unable to trust that your own unique path is the right one for you. [K
You may have noticed that many people in our field tend to be sensitive emp[3D[K
empaths who get easily drained by others' energy. So if you don't have a st[2D[K
strong foundation of self-care, you'll likely burn out very quickly if you [K
don't know why you're doing what you do and how it serves you.
2. Keep your own cup full.
By this I mean that in order to be able to guide other people with integrit[8D[K
integrity, you must take really good care of yourself.
This means being strict about not agreeing to see anyone who has an energy [K
or personality that doesn't feel right for you. Your intuition will guide y[1D[K
you on this and it's a very important skill to develop.
3. Have the tough conversations.
We do our best work when we're clear, authentic, and honest with ourselves [K
and others.
This means being able to have difficult but necessary conversations even wh[2D[K
when they are uncomfortable or scary. It is always better to speak your tru[3D[K
truth rather than stuff it down because this just leads to resentment and d[1D[K
drama later on.
