Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is injured but safe and sound, according to President Masoud Pezeshkian's son, Yousef Pezeshkian. The injury occurred after his appointment over the weekend following the killing of his father, Ali Khamenei, in an airstrike at the start of the US-Israeli war against the Islamic republic. However, he has not been seen in public since his appointment and is believed to be sheltering at a highly secure location with limited communication.

Ali Khamenei lived with a partially paralyzed arm after being injured in an assassination attempt in 1981, blamed on the People's Mujahedin of Iran group. The supreme leader position is for life, and he also serves as a religious guide for Shia Muslims. Analysts predict he will remain out of public view for some time, given that he instantly became a target for assassination by the United States and Israel.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
