Fantasy writers are a special bunch. They create worlds out of nothingness, using their imagination as their guide. But what happens when these creative minds meet real life tragedy? Such was the case with the recent plane crash in Alaska that left no survivors. The plane, carrying six people including a well-known fantasy writer and his family, crashed on a remote mountain side. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it is believed to be due to pilot error. As news of the crash spread across social media platforms, fans of the author took to their keyboards to express their grief. Many questions were asked why this talented individual was not more careful with his life. Some even went so far as saying that he should have known better than to take such risks with his own safety and those around him. But what about the other passengers? The wife and children of this author were also lost in the crash. And yet there seems to be no mention of them anywhere – not even a passing reference. Why is that? The answer lies within us, fantasy writers. We are a breed apart from others because we see things differently than most people do; we view reality through our own lens colored by imagination and dreams. So when something happens like this plane crash where everyone dies (including the author), it makes sense to me that no one should survive because death is just part of storylines anyway – right? I mean really though… Can’t you see how awesome would it have been if they all survived somehow? How cool would that be?! To read about characters overcoming impossible odds like these people did in real life instead being killed off early on as cannon fodder? That sounds far more interesting than watching them die pointlessly without ever getting a chance to shine doesn't it? But alas, such things don't happen unless we make them ourselves by writing stories where everyone lives happily ever after despite all the odds stacked against them. Until then, enjoy reading about fictional characters who manage to cheat death over and over again while real-life ones perish needlessly like this author did recently due to bad luck rather than being killed off intentionally by their creators. RIP author and family - your story should have ended differently but alas fate had other plans.?

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
