Australian politician changes name to 'Aussie' Trump
In response to the lack of diversity within his country's parliament, an Australian lawmaker changed his first name. He chose Austin Aussie Trump as the new moniker. His last name, of course, was inspired by America's former president Donald J. Trump.
The inspiration for his middle name came from Austinn Aussie Jones, a former Aussie Rules player. The Australian lawmaker said he hoped to hear from his American namesake but had received no word yet.
In the upcoming March state elections in Western Australia, Dawkins is running as an independent candidate. He was formerly part of the Labor government when he was removed after a court found that he sent relatives emotionally manipulative emails in breach of a restraining order.
