At a recent Senate hearing, Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. 
warned that rice prices could skyrocket to as high as P62 per kilogram in S
September due to an increase in production inputs such as fertilizers. Fert

selling at P3,000 per 50-kilogram bag.

To address the concerns surrounding fertilizer price increases, DA official
officials explained that the high cost of production inputs is pushing farm

per kilogram, it could go up to P27 or P30, said Agriculture Spokesperson
