Behind the Scenes Senator Bong Go Leads Relief Efforts in Parañaque

On February 8, Senator Bong Go personally led a relief operation for fire victims in Parañaque City. His Malasakit Team distributed humanitarian assistance to 296 individuals affected by the blaze at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.

The aid package included essential items such as grocery packs, snacks, vitamins, and clothing. Additionally, selected recipients received mobile phones, shoes, and bicycles. National Housing Authority representatives were also present to conduct qualification assessments for their Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP).

Senator Go emphasized the importance of this program, stating in Filipino The EHAP is a great help for our countrymen who have lost their homes. This program provides financial aid to purchase necessary materials, such as iron bars, nails, wood, and other basic construction materials, to rebuild their homes.

He also offered words of encouragement to those affected by the disaster, saying To our countrymen who have lost their homes, let us not lose hope. What's most important is that our families are safe. Goods can be replaced, but a life lost is gone forever.

Senator Go has been a driving force behind efforts to support disaster victims. He authored Senate Bill 192, which aims to establish a rental housing subsidy program for those affected by calamities. This measure would provide temporary housing assistance and access to formal housing while individuals work towards recovery.

With his leadership and commitment to supporting those in need, Senator Bong Go has demonstrated his dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of Filipinos affected by disaster.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
