In the past, I've struggled with creating a solid game design process that fits my needs and doesn't cause me to feel overwhelmed. Over time, I've developed a process that I'm happy with and that I believe can help other indie developers as well. In this article, I will share these steps with you and hopefully, they will help you too!

Step 1 Define the game you want to make

Before jumping into any details, you need to have a clear understanding of the game you want to make. What kind of game do you want to create? What theme do you want to explore? What kind of gameplay do you want to include? These are some of the questions you need to answer before moving on to the next step.

Step 2 Brainstorm game mechanics

In this step, you need to brainstorm different game mechanics that you can use in your game. You can start by researching different game genres and looking for game mechanics that you like. You can also look for inspiration in other media such as movies, books, or comics.

Step 3 Create a game loop
