As the International Contemporary Thai Instruments (ICTSI) Philippine Ladies Masters tournament approaches, Dottie Ardina is poised to unleash her game on a course that has been a staple of her amateur days. With a blend of experience, preparation, and excitement, Ardina is eager to showcase her skills at The Country Club in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

I've been diligently practicing and working on my swing, Ardina said, exuding determination and humility ahead of the tournament. I don't really expect anything, but my goal is always to win and do my best.

The $200,000 tournament, a collaboration between the Korean LPGA, the LPGA of Taiwan (TLPGA), and the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour (LPGT), promises to be an intense competition featuring top players from all three tours. The event will test endurance, mental toughness, and skill as players navigate the demanding layout, sweltering heat, and swirling winds.

For Ardina, playing at The Country Club in a competitive setting brings a new level of excitement. It's very exciting to play TCC again in tournament mode, not just in practice, she said, emphasizing her eagerness to tackle the course under pressure.

The traditional pro-am tournament kicks off on Monday, featuring a select group of professionals paired with sponsors' officials and guests. This event not only fosters camaraderie but also provides top contenders like Ardina with a valuable opportunity to familiarize themselves with the challenging course ahead of the main competition.

Beyond personal aspirations, Ardina acknowledges the significance of the event, especially with the Korean LPGA Tour players joining the field. It's great to host these international players, she said. I'm excited to see how they will perform at the TCC, given its exacting challenge.

Ardina believes that the Korean LPGA Tour players' participation elevates the competition. The Korean LPGA Tour coming here to play is a good motivation for our local players and other Asian players, she said. Next week will definitely feel like playing in the world's premier circuit.

With Ardina's experience, preparation, and determination, it's no surprise that she's a strong contender at the ICTSI Philippine Ladies Masters.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
