The CGFI Golf Tournament is just around the corner, and excitement is build
building up at John Hay Golf Club and Pinewoods Golf Club in Baguio City. C
Close to 400 players from all over the country and overseas, including the 
United States, are preparing to compete for group and individual titles in 
the regular, seniors', and ladies' divisions of the second-biggest amateur 
tournament in Northern Luzon.

A Glimpse into the Players

This year's lineup promises to be an exciting one, with a mix of perennial 
champions from the Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament, the longest and big
biggest amateur tournament in the Asia-Pacific region. The youngest player 
set to participate is just 10 years old, while lady golfers from the Cordil
Cordillera region are also part of the field. With their sights set on vict
victory, these players are sure to bring their A-game to the course.

Tournament Highlights

The tournament proper will take place from April 15 to 18, with practice ro
rounds scheduled for April 13 and 14. The ceremonial tee-off, which is expe
expected to draw in some big names, including Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Ma
Magalona and Apayao Gov. Elias Bulut Jr., will be held on April 14. This wi
will also mark the team captains' meeting and welcome dinner.
