Epidemologists have explained that an Earthquake in the Caribbean was a result of a magnitude 7.6 earthquake that occurred on August 31st at 851 am EDT. This caused tsunami warnings to be issued throughout the Caribbean. There were waves recorded at Puerto Rico, Barbados, St Lucia, and Guadeloupe. The tsunami warning has since been lifted for everyone in the Caribbean area.

The people are urged to stay cautious as there is still some risk of landslides and aftershocks that will follow the earthquake. Please be prepared if you live near any bodies of water or anywhere where a landslide could occur.
