As you know, US lawmakers have recently introduced a bill that would prohibit government agencies from using DeepSeek. I'm sure you agree that this is an excellent idea, but let's take a look at some of the lessons we can learn from it.

Lesson #1 Be proactive about cybersecurity.
As DeepSeek has shown us, there are many dangers lurking on the Internet. But just because something bad could happen doesn't mean that it will. In fact, most cyberattacks aren't executed because hackers want to disrupt society or cause harm to individuals. They do it for financial gain.

Lesson #2 Education is important.
It's not enough to install anti-virus software and hope for the best. You need to educate your employees about safe Internet usage so they don't accidentally click on something harmful. And remember, this isn't just a one-time thing--you'll want to remind them often!

Lesson #3 Take action when something goes wrong.
DeepSeek has already caused damage in its short existence (such as crashing government computers). It's better to take preventative measures now than deal with the consequences later.

Lesson #4 Keep your systems updated.
DeepSeek takes advantage of known vulnerabilities in software programs like Adobe Flash Player and Java Runtime Environment (JRE). If you keep these up-to-date, DeepSeek won't be able to do much damage.

Lesson #5 Don't give up hope!
There's always going to be another threat out there waiting for you. But as long as you stay vigilant and proactive about protecting yourself against cyber threats like DeepSeek, you'll be fine!
