The United States has approved a $38 billion sale of aircraft and missiles to Israel. This includes 55 F-35 fighter jets, an estimated 10,000 bombs, and nearly 100 missile systems. These military items will support the Israeli government's defense needs.

Critics are questioning why the US is arming its strongest ally in the Middle East with such a large amount of weapons when tensions are lowering. Israel and Palestine have agreed to start talks after four years, but that doesn't mean the threat for war has vanished completely.
