Madis Dominates South Korean Rival to Rule ITF J30 Manila Girls' Singles

Manila, Philippines - Tennis sensation Tennielle Madis from the Philippine Tennis Academy (PTA) has emerged victorious in the girls' singles division of the ITF J30 Manila tournament. The 18-year-old from M'lang, Cotabato dominated her opponent, third seed Seojin Park of South Korea, with a convincing 6-4, 6-1 win on Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center hardcourt.

Madis's impressive performance comes on the heels of her triumph in the girls' doubles division last Saturday, where she partnered with PTA teammate Stefi Marithe Aludo to defeat second seeds Gyuree Nam and Park, 6-1, 6-4. This marks their ninth ITF juniors title.

This year, they have won several prestigious tournaments, including the PCA Open, inaugural Gentry Open, and Olivarez Open, said PTA head coach Bobie Angelo, a many-time Davis Cupper and Southeast Asian Games multi-medalist. Their morale is high, and I'm confident they will do well in the SEA Games scheduled for December 9-22 in Thailand.

In the boys' singles division, fifth seed Kango Endoh of Japan pulled off an upset win over second seed Ruochen Gao of China, claiming his first boys' singles trophy with a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
