Exciting News Lea Salonga and Rachelle Ann Go Join Les Misérables The World Tour Spectacular in Manila
We're thrilled to announce that two esteemed Filipino performers, Lea Salonga and Rachelle Ann Go, will be joining the cast of Les Misérables The World Tour Spectacular for its highly anticipated Manila run from January 20 to March 1, 2026.
Dynamic Duo
Lea Salonga, a Tony Award-winning actress and veteran of the Les Misérables franchise, will take on the role of Madame Thénardier in this production. In her Instagram post announcing the news, she humorously referenced the character's infamous reputation for causing mischief, remarking that she's excited to finally get to play this enigmatic part without meeting an untimely demise – a nod to Fantine's tragic fate. This marks a welcome change of pace for Salonga, who has previously played both Fantine and Éponine in earlier productions.
Rachelle Ann Go, meanwhile, will reprise her role as Fantine, a character she has made her own through her performances in London and the Les Misérables Arena Tour. Her enthusiasm about returning to Manila is palpable, with her Instagram post expressing her excitement for this homecoming performance.
A World-Class Cast
Salonga and Go will be joined by an international cast of talented performers, including Gerónimo Rauch as Jean Valjean, Jeremy Secomb as Javert, Will Callan as Marius, Lulu-Mae Pears as Cosette, Harry Chandler as Enjolras, and Earl Carpenter as the Bishop of Digne.
Among the Filipino performers joining the cast are Emily Bautista, who will reprise her role as Éponine from the North American Tour, and Red Concepcion, returning as Thénardier after previously playing the part at The Muny in St. Louis.
A Must-See Production
This production offers a unique opportunity for fans to see these talented performers bring their A-game to the iconic musical. With its powerful story, memorable characters, and unforgettable music, Les Misérables is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
