Midterm Assessment A Critical Milestone for PMC-FSCC Project

The Postgraduate Micro-Credentials for Food Security and Climate Change (PMC-FSCC) project has reached a significant milestone with its midterm review. As the initiative approaches its 18th month, it is essential to evaluate progress made thus far and reflect on the journey towards developing modular, flexible, and stackable micro-credential programs.

The midterm review will provide a comprehensive platform for project partners to assess implementation progress across all work packages, discuss milestones achieved, deliverables completed, challenges encountered, risks addressed, and best practices identified. This critical assessment will ensure that the project stays on track, and any necessary adjustments can be made to ensure its successful completion.

Scheduled to take place over two days at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (Searca), the review will bring together representatives from partner-institutions across Southeast Asia and Europe. The esteemed participants include experts from Institut Pertanian Bogor, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Universitas Brawijaya from Indonesia; Universiti Putra Malaysia, and Universiti Malaysia Sabah from Malaysia; Kasetsart University (KU) and Maejo University from Thailand; the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Central Luzon State University, Visayas State University, and Searca from the Philippines.

European partners will also participate in the review, with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences of Vienna sending a representative, while the University of Göttingen in Germany will join virtually. This collective effort will foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation, ultimately contributing to the project's success in addressing food security and climate change challenges.

By reviewing progress at this midpoint, PMC-FSCC can fine-tune its approach, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of quality, relevance, and impact. The midterm assessment is a crucial step towards achieving the project's ambitious goals and ultimately contributing to a more food-secure and sustainable future for generations to come.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
